EUROPE TOUR DATES AND STUFF

Posted some dates for Europe, they are coming together quite nicely. Look to the right for the red text. We'll see how things manifest over the next few weeks but there may be a few cool extra things at the end of that tour. Also, Roadburn Festival tickets went on sale last weekend and sold out in 45 minutes. Crazy, but looking at the lineup its understandable.

We've been writing a lot and should have a good amount of new stuff to play live when the spring comes. Have a good new year's eve and keep drinking vodka and smoking hash forever.

ROADBURN FESTIVAL, EUROPE AND STUFF

We have confirmed for Friday April 24th at the legendary Roadburn Festival. Roadburn takes place at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Some other bands playing this year are Angel Witch, Saint Vitus, Cathedral, Amon Dull II, Orange Goblin, Motorpsycho, as well as Neurosis curating an installment of their 'Beyond the Pale' and many others. In short, it will rule and you should go there. In conjunction with this date we are well underway booking a tour of Europe ourselves. Seasons Greetings

THANKS EVERYONE!

After 145 shows in sixteen countries, and over 60,000 miles of road, we are done touring for 2008. Thanks a ton to everyone who came out to shows all over the place, partied with us, facilitated partying for us, cooked for us, bought a record or cd or shirt, put us up for the night, worked on our equipment and anything else we're not mentioning. It means more to us than you might comprehend. Our livers totally fucking hate us and we can't hear anything anymore, but it was completely worth it. This week we will begin jamming new riffs and writing for a new album that will be out sometime in mid to late 2009 on Kemado.

Some other items of possible interest:

We are playing a Halloween party in Oakland on Friday and that will likely be it for the year as far as live performances go.

The "Cavern of Mind" video is forthcoming. The longer it takes, the more it will hurt your head.

We are trying get a webstore together via the good folk of Bad Skulls. Our aim is to have some killer, special things available in it. More on that later. For now, shirts are available through the Bad Skulls site.

A video game called MotorStorm: Pacific Rift for the PS3 will be released October 28 and "Cavern of Mind" is on the soundtrack. Apparently it is a car-racing game with monster trucks and shit. Fuckin' A.

From the New York Times, a playlist from this man Ryan Adams who is in a band called the Cardinals. They play arenas, yet I am unfamiliar. Anyhow, he appears to enjoy our record and said some interesting things actually. Random but cool. Thanks dude.

SEPTEMBER SHIT AND STUFF

We are preparing for our big fall US tour. These shows will probably be our last performances of 2008 as we're craving some time off to write new riffs so we can get a new record out next year and we have spent about eight months this year on tour, which is kind of a lot. All the dates are posted to the right. The poster above was done by Alan Forbes and we will have some 18x24" prints of it on the road with us. You can check out more of Alan's stuff here.

Also, we will have a limited version of our first 12" EP, Warship, with us. Level Plane unearthed a box of vinyl with no covers so we decided to do a run of 100 screenprinted covers with special art. We will not be mailordering or holding these for anyone.

We recently shot a good amount of footage for our second video, for the song "Cavern of Mind", on a 30 foot high green screen and floor. The video will prove to be fairly mind-bending. More on this later.

The west coast tour with Titan up to Total Fest in Montana was a blast. I think we spent about as much time partying in bodies of water as we did in clubs, which is an excellent ratio. Thanks to everyone who came out and raged and stuff. Some choice moments:

OYAFESTIVALEN

Oya Festival in Oslo, Norway kicks ass. Meeting Nattefrost and Mayhem ruled. The festival was very well organized and awesome all around and Norwegians actually know how to party. Here's some pictures Steffen Rikenberg took.
