SXSW / TOUR DATES MARCH 2012

Saviours return to the road in March for a trek out to South By Southwest in Austin, TX. Supporting Saviours on most of the shows is Holy Grail.

This tour follows Saviours’ marathon world touring of Fall 2011, which saw the band play almost four straight months’ worth of shows in North America and Europe, supporting the newest album, Death’s Procession (out now on Kemado Records).

Of Death’s Procession, Revolver Magazine proclaimed, “Classic heavy metal thunder, dedicated swagger, and almost-crisp production make this record a triumph for the Oakland quartet." A review of the album in Decibel Magazine declared, “This is their South of Heaven.”

The limited tour 12" EP's are going fast. There are two of them... 250 of each, screenprinted covers with art by Derrick Snodgrass. Each EP has one track from Death's Procession and another song that is not on the album. The Eye Obscene EP features "The Eye Obscene" on side A and a cover of NWOBHM classic "Come On Back" by Scotland's HOLOCAUST on side B. The Crete'n EP features "Crete'n" on side A and a proper version of "Dixie Dieway", which appeared in raw demo form on last years Metal Swim compilation.


It should be noted that the vinyl of Death's Procession had embossed covers for the first run. It will not be embossed again. We do have the embossed copies on tour with us.

About halfway through our US tour with WEEDEATER, BISON BC and FIGHT AMP. It has been great so far. Thanks much to all who have been coming out and supporting. Remaining confirmed tour dates for 2012 below... There will be more US shows when we return from Europe starting late November... NYC etc. we haven't forgotten about you.

The tour with MIDNIGHT, LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH and ARCHONS was awesome. Thanks to all who came out. We had a killer time and hope you did too. We will be entering LUCKY CAT RECORDING with Phil Manley to record our new album on June 4th. A release date as well as US and European tour dates in support of the release will come soon. There are a few one-off dates in the works in the US until then. Otherwise, we'll be busy throughout the summer working on some projects related to the new album.

MIDSUMMER UPDATE

- We've conquered Europe with our partners in crime Black Cobra and Weedeater. The tour was insane, the shows were great, we played a bunch of festivals and cool new places we hadn't been before, we got weird and it kicked ass. Many thanks to our fearless driver Brozak, Black Cobra, Weedeater, Avocado for booking the shit, Dominic and Division for doing press stuff and most importantly all the euromaniacs who came out a raged every night with us. It was simultaneously real and unreal, if that makes any sense.

- At the end of the tour we headed to Den Haag, Holland for a quick studio trip with Guy Tavares, who does the awesome Motorwolf label. Guy and engineer Hans tracked two new songs for us the old way- 16 track, 1" tape, no punch-ins, edits or automation. We recorded one new song and then a 21 minute "alternate" version of it, which will be mixed to full heavy psychedelic fruition by Guy over the next month and eventually included on an upcoming EP.

- Our only full US tour this year is rapidly approaching. Ozzfest should be insane and debaucherous and we're super excited for it, whatever it may entail! We've announced some pre-fest dates and some off-dates from the tour as well and we will be headlining a few select US cities on the way back from the east coast after Ozzfest. A few more dates will be announced soon.

The California shows with SAINT VITUS were super killer. It was fucking awesome to share the stage with those guys again and really inspiring to see a legendary band rise from the dead and be totally down to earth and devastatingly good live. If you have the chance to see them...do it!

The Japan tour was amazing... we did five shows and had four days off to check out Tokyo, which was super fucking cool. All of the bands that played were awesome and again really inspiring to see guys who have been their bands for 15-20 years still playing the music they love and doing their thing with no motivation of money or cool points or whatever...if you have long hair and/or tattoos in Japan, you are a total dirt and in most cases you'll have a hard time finding a job, spouse or even an apartment. It was really amazing to see all these bands, whether they were hardcore, thrash or 70's psych, just totally destroy and for all the right reasons. Fucking lifers. Phil from Red Cobalt did a great job with setting up the tour and we can't thank him and Reika (#1 driver in Japan!!!) enough. The Japanese version of Into Abaddon is available now...new artwork by Derrick Snodgrass, LP, CD, and two posters all in one package, limited to 500. Pick one up HERE.

We entered Sharkbite Studios in Oakland with master of heaviness Billy Anderson to record a BLUE OYSTER CULT cover with Scott "Wino" Weinrich (SAINT VITUS, SHRINEBUILDER, THE OBSESSED) on vocals and guitar. It came out awesome and its still pretty surreal to us that it even exists. We were geeking out with Wino last fall on the Vitus east coast dates about BOC and we drunkenly talked about collaborating on a cover of "Hot Rails to Hell". It was one of those things we never really expected to materialize but somehow when the awesome SHRINEBUILDER came through the Bay Area it all came together. It will be on a future EP...more details on that later. Anyone in Columbus,OH for Scion Rock Fest on March 13 got to see us play it live with Wino too Pretty fucking killer and not sure when that might happen again, if ever!

Even though we told ourselves we were gonna chill out a bit on touring in 2010, here are a bunch of dates. Hope to see old and new friends out. We'll have records, new shirts, blacklight posters and other weird shit available for sale or trade as always.

ACCELERATED LIVING

Our new album, Accelerated Living, is out now. We have CD's and vinyl with us on tour or you can get it from Kemado Records.
A new tour starts today in Spokane , WA with 3 Inches of Blood and Holy Grail. We've been out since late September. All the new dates are posted to the right in red. The Canadian dates with 3 Inches as well as the US dates with Kylesa, Red Fang and Saint Vitus and the Fall into Darkness and Fog Rising weekends were all awesome and we really appreciate everyone coming out to the shows and raging with us.

Cyrus has left the band...the Fog Rising show in San Francisco was his last. We love him and wish him the best in whatever project he applies his rad touch to next. Chris Grande from Annihilation Time and Lecherous Gaze is playing bass with us for this US tour. We'll make another announcement about this later.

Japan dates will announced soon...we have seen some of the show lineups and its looking insane. Many thanks to Red Cobalt for putting this together.

We have confirmed Hellfest in Clisson, France for the weekend of June 18-20 2010. Check out the lineup so far and chances for discounted Hellfest weekend passes here.

We've been back from Europe for a month or so, getting ready to record and stuff and not really paying much attention to the internet. Thanks a ton to everyone involved in the Europe tour. It ruled.

We're done with tracking and are now mixing our new album with Phil Manley at Lucky Cat in San Francisco. It is sounding rad. Release date is October 13, 2009. More info later.

On June 23rd Kemado released three 7" EPs. Four new songs and two covers from our demo sessions with Scott Ecklein in Oakland in April. Killer art by Tim Lehi and some cool extra shit comes with each one. Details...

EUROPE TOUR DATES AND STUFF

Posted some dates for Europe, they are coming together quite nicely. Look to the right for the red text. We'll see how things manifest over the next few weeks but there may be a few cool extra things at the end of that tour. Also, Roadburn Festival tickets went on sale last weekend and sold out in 45 minutes. Crazy, but looking at the lineup its understandable.

We've been writing a lot and should have a good amount of new stuff to play live when the spring comes. Have a good new year's eve and keep drinking vodka and smoking hash forever.

ROADBURN FESTIVAL, EUROPE AND STUFF

We have confirmed for Friday April 24th at the legendary Roadburn Festival. Roadburn takes place at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Some other bands playing this year are Angel Witch, Saint Vitus, Cathedral, Amon Dull II, Orange Goblin, Motorpsycho, as well as Neurosis curating an installment of their 'Beyond the Pale' and many others. In short, it will rule and you should go there. In conjunction with this date we are well underway booking a tour of Europe ourselves. Seasons Greetings

THANKS EVERYONE!

After 145 shows in sixteen countries, and over 60,000 miles of road, we are done touring for 2008. Thanks a ton to everyone who came out to shows all over the place, partied with us, facilitated partying for us, cooked for us, bought a record or cd or shirt, put us up for the night, worked on our equipment and anything else we're not mentioning. It means more to us than you might comprehend. Our livers totally fucking hate us and we can't hear anything anymore, but it was completely worth it. This week we will begin jamming new riffs and writing for a new album that will be out sometime in mid to late 2009 on Kemado.

Some other items of possible interest:

We are playing a Halloween party in Oakland on Friday and that will likely be it for the year as far as live performances go.

The "Cavern of Mind" video is forthcoming. The longer it takes, the more it will hurt your head.

We are trying get a webstore together via the good folk of Bad Skulls. Our aim is to have some killer, special things available in it. More on that later. For now, shirts are available through the Bad Skulls site.

A video game called MotorStorm: Pacific Rift for the PS3 will be released October 28 and "Cavern of Mind" is on the soundtrack. Apparently it is a car-racing game with monster trucks and shit. Fuckin' A.

From the New York Times, a playlist from this man Ryan Adams who is in a band called the Cardinals. They play arenas, yet I am unfamiliar. Anyhow, he appears to enjoy our record and said some interesting things actually. Random but cool. Thanks dude.
